Sharp Unleashes The World's Largest "3D Internet LED TV" For Rs 20,00,000

Sharp has launched the LC-90LE740X, which is the largest 3D LED TV in the world with 4-colour Quattron Technology. In case you are wondering, what about the Samsung UN110S9 TV with a 110" screen that was launched at CES this year; that is a 4K TV, while the one from Sharp is Full HD, which is a quarter of the number of pixels as on a 4K TV. As mentioned, the Sharp TV supports active shutter 3D at 120 Hz, making it compatible with every 3D Blu-ray player, 3D game console, and NVIDIA 3D Vision products. Of course, the 1920x1080 pixel dimensions are somewhat of a let-down at such a large screen size as the pixels would be large enough to be readily visible, unless you view it from quite afar. With an aluminium frame, this TV is a real looker that should dominate any room.

The television set's Smart TV functionality allows you to get full access to Aquos Net+ portal, including apps such as Skype and also to browse the internet. The TV can be controlled using Sharp's own application installed on a mobile phone. You can even share pictures and videos with friends. There are 60", 70", and 80" models, which can be used as blackboards, thanks to their super sensitive touch screens and smart stylus. Sharp also has a 108" Full HD TV, which is the biggest commercially available LED TV in India.

The Sharp LC-90LE740X has been launched at a whopping Rs 20,00,000, which is 27% to 50% more expensive than 84" 4K 3D LED TVs from Sony and LG. In case you are planning on picking one, mind the fact that it weighs a formidable 64 kg and you need to have a large enough movie room to house such a big TV. On second thoughts, if you can spend such big money for this TV, I think that should not be a problem.

Here are the specifications:
