Amazon India has announced a cut in the pricing of its flagship eBook reader - Kindle Fire HD 8.9". The 16 GB version now costs Rs 18,000 as against the earlier 22,000, while the 32 GB variant is available for Rs 22,000 down from the earlier Rs 26,000. At the new price-point, the Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9" will become a really attractive option for consumers because of its superior capabilities as an Android tablet, in addition to being a formidable eBook reader.
