Portable wireless speakers are in vogue today, thanks to the soaring popularity of mobile devices such as mobile phones and tablets. Needless to say, these mobile devices come with namesake speakers with bare-bone functionality and need portable speakers, which sound much better and which can also be carried around easily. Review: Creative Sound Blaster Roar (SR20A)

Creative Sound Blaster Roar (SR20A)
MRP: Rs 16,000

Creative has been in the home audio scene since quite some time. For those of you who have had PCs around a couple of decades back, Creative was the only quality option for a multimedia pack consisting of a CD-ROM drive, SoundBlaster sound card, and 2.0 stereo desktop speakers. The company has come a long way since then but it still produces some of the best audio equipment. Changing with the times, the company has got a series of portable Bluetooth speakers to cater to the mobile consumer. The Sound Blaster Roar was released earlier this year, representing the pinnacle of this series and is the de facto flagship in this category. Like all flagships, this one also comes at its premium pricing. Whether or not it’s worth the buy has been covered in this review, so read on.

Review: Brother DCP-T500W

MRP: Rs 12,150
It seems like every printer manufacturer is on the “separate ink tanks” bandwagon, and Brother is no exception. Brother has been in the printer and MFD industry for quite some time and has usually catered more to offices than to home users. The DCP-T500W also targets SoHo consumers, but it has features such as a considerably affordable pricing, wireless connectivity, and photo printing that should also entice home users. I had a chance to review the unit. So let’s find out how well it fares.

Review: Lenovo YOGA 3 Pro (256 GB SSD)

Lenovo YOGA 3 Pro (256 GB SSD)
Price: Rs 1,15,000

Ultrabooks are known to be slim and light. At the CES this year, Lenovo introduced the YOGA 3 Pro, which is 17% slimmer and 14% lighter than its predecessor. Of course, at the name suggests, it can perform yoga, that is it is flexible enough for the screen to fold backwards to give it a tablet-like form factor. Powered by the latest Intel’s Core M-70 (Broadwell) CPU, this is a completely fanless laptop, meaning no moving parts, and consequently should result in a better battery life. It has an insanely hi-res touch screen, complementing Windows 8.1. Let’s take a look at the Lenovo YOGA 3 Pro in details.

Epson has been in the field of printers and MFDs for several years and the company has been gracious enough to send across its newest kid on the photo-printing block – L850 professional/home photo printer. The L850 is priced a little over mid-range, and this one being a photo MFD, comes with six ink tanks, which can be independently refilled. It also has some features such as memory card slots, USB, and CD/DVD label printing. The Epson L850 is targeted at photo enthusiasts and home. I am going to put it through the test routine to find out how well it performs.

Review: Creative T50 Wireless

Creative T50 Wireless

Creative has been in the home audio scene since quite some time. The company has come a long way since then but it still produces some of the best stereo desktop speakers.
